* Adult NCRC members receive a $3.00 discount for the competitive and non-competitive race.
All competitive mile runners will be issued a ChampionChip timing chip on
race day (failure to return your chip immediately after the race will result in a $15 charge). T-SHIRTS: The first 650 pre-registered Mile runners will be guaranteed a t-shirt. Mini-Mile run participants will receive commemorative medals.
Awards are based on gun time. All prize money and awards have been generously provided by The Athlete's Foot - Cameron Village. RRCA award plaques - Overall winners in the open, masters and grandmasters
categories (both sexes) Age Group Awards: Gift certificate awards will also be
presented to the top three finishers in each of the following
age divisions (both sexes): 0-9, 10-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-
34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, POST RACE ACTIVITIES: Following the race there will be plenty of refreshments near the finish line as well as a drawing for LOTS of door prizes. The awards ceremony will also take place there. Race results will be posted after the race and also at www.ncroadrunners.org. NO HEADPHONES:Due to USATF sanctioning rules, RRCA guidelines and insurance requirements we must prohibit the use of portable electronic devices by participants. Any violators will be disqualified and banned from future events. For the safety of you and your fellow runners, please leave your headphones at home.
DIRECTIONS TO THE RACE SITE: ABOUT THE SPASTIC PARAPLEGIA FOUNDATION: The SP Foundation is a nonprofit organization that was founded four years ago. Its primary mission is to find a cure for motor neuron disease and raise awareness of its devastating effect on those who suffer from it. Approximately 92% of its funds go to this mission. Last year, the foundation awarded more than $500,000 in research grants. Dr. Richard Bedlack of Duke University ALS Clinic will speak regarding the cause at the race. Note: No Refunds. If, for reasons out of our control (i.e. an ice storm or such), we are unable to hold the event on the scheduled day, the race will be cancelled and not rescheduled.
