Welcome to NCRC

Welcome to the North Carolina Roadrunners Club, commonly known as NCRC! We're a nonprofit organization that's a member club of the Road Runners Club of America, one of 23 RRCA clubs in North Carolina. We're based in Raleigh, where our club began in 1979 (see the About NCRC tab for more details). NCRC is also a member club of USA Track & Field. NCRC hosts three races each year, ranging in length from 5K to half-marathon, and holds an annual fund-raising event (see the NCRC Races/Events tab for details). Benefits of becoming a club member include race and in-store discounts, a bimonthly online newsletter, and a member rewards program. We also hold social runs and other events throughout the year (see the Calendar tab). All runners and walkers are welcome to join us! Dix Park Sunflowers Social Run/Walk — Saturday, July 26

Dix Park planted its sunflowers a little later this year, so NCRC's annual sunflowers run/June social run/walk will be postponed to Saturday, July 26 instead of the usual mid-July date. We'll meet first at 7:30 a.m. at the Magnolia Room Picnic Shelter (1985 Umstead Drive in Raleigh) for a group photo before heading out for our run or walk. We'll also have a chance to check out the new Gipson Play Plaza at Dix! Stick around afterward at the shelter for refreshments and socializing.

Dix Park Sunflowers

Registration is open for NCRC's fall race, the American Tobacco Trail 10-Miler and 4-Miler, which will be held on Saturday, Oct. 25. The two races, which follow out-and-back courses on the ATT, start and end at the White Oak Church Road trailhead (1305 White Oak Church Road in Apex). After heading north of the trailhead last year, the courses return to south of the trailhead this year. The fall date creates a scenic backdrop for this event.
