Welcome to NCRC
Welcome to the North Carolina Roadrunners Club, commonly known as NCRC! We're a nonprofit organization that's a member club of the Road Runners Club of America, one of 23 RRCA clubs in North Carolina. We're based in Raleigh, where our club began in 1979 (see the About NCRC tab for more details). NCRC is also a member club of USA Track & Field. NCRC hosts three races each year, ranging in length from 5K to half-marathon, and holds an annual fund-raising event (see the NCRC Races/Events tab for details). Benefits of becoming a club member include race and in-store discounts, a bimonthly online newsletter, and a member rewards program. We also hold social runs and other events throughout the year (see the Calendar tab). All runners and walkers are welcome to join us! NCRC March Madness Social Run (NCSU) — Sunday!
To celebrate the March Madness of NCAA basketball (all six of our local teams, men and women, made the tournament this year), NCRC's March social run/walk will feature the N.C. State campus and historic Reynolds Coliseum. Meeting at 2 p.m. Sunday, we'll start and finish at Raleigh Brewing on Neil Street. Running and/or walking mostly on the Rocky Branch Trail greenway, we'll head through the campus to the David Thompson statue at Reynolds Coliseum before heading back, a total of about 3.2 miles. Feel free to take photos of statues of N.C. State basketball legends outside Reynolds. Hang around afterward for refreshments outside at Raleigh Brewing.
