04/02/2023 -  Help Us Recruit More Spring Forth Participants

Thanks for registering to participate in the 2023 NCRC's Spring Forth scavenger run photo challenge! Please encourage your friends and/or family members to register and participate. The more participants we have, the better! People are welcome to participate as a couple, a family, or another type of group.

You can start taking your photos for the event. At least you should look at this year's categories on the website and start thinking about where you could take the photos. We have five new categories this year, including one returning from 2021. Girls on the Run, one of our two beneficiary organizations, helped us with the category ideas.

We have a few changes to introduce this year. The main new aspect is a kickoff event on April 21 at Lake Lynn park in Raleigh (details and an RSVP form are available in the Calendar of the NCRC website). Attendance at the kickoff isn't mandatory, but we hope you can make it. As for prize donors, we lost Wegmans but picked up FS Series and may get another new donor. We also plan to add a $25 credit to the new NCRC online store as a prize. To encourage participants to take photos in all 10 categories, this year we have designated a grand prize level (including a $100 gift card, a Trader Joe's sampler bag, and two Tobacco Road Marathon entries) for which only participants who have posted in all 10 categories will be eligible.

If you're a new participant or need a refresher, take a look at the How It Works page on the event website. The basic rules haven't changed. During the event week (starting on the night of the kickoff), you'll receive a nightly email to guide you through the process. The prize drawing will be on April 30 after the April 22-29 event.
