North Carolina Roadrunners Club

Come Run With Us

Welcome to NCRC
Welcome to the North Carolina Roadrunners Club, commonly known as NCRC! We're a nonprofit organization that's a member club of the Road Runners Club of America, one of 23 RRCA clubs in North Carolina. We're based in Raleigh, where our club began in 1979 (see the About NCRC tab for more details). NCRC is also a member club of USA Track & Field. NCRC hosts three races each year, ranging in length from 5K to half-marathon, and holds an annual fund-raising event (see the NCRC Races/Events tab for details). Benefits of becoming a club member include race and in-store discounts, a bimonthly online newsletter, and a member rewards program. We also hold social runs and other events throughout the year (see the Calendar tab). All runners and walkers are welcome to join us! If you're new to the Triangle, check out Triangle Running Websites under the Resources tab.
Registration is Open for 2025 1,000 Mile Club

Looking to boost your running and walking in 2025? Join NCRC's 1,000 Mile Club for the motivation you need! Exclusive to NCRC members, this club offers the support and encouragement to achieve your mileage goals. To participate, ensure you're logged in as a member on the website before registering. Registration opened Jan. 1 and closes on Feb. 15.

Simply track your running and/or walking miles, providing updates monthly. Our dedicated 1,000 Mile Club coordinator, Jadine Lee, will assist in keeping you on target for your mileage objectives.

Hit or surpass 1,000 miles (combined running and walking) by the end of 2025, and you'll earn a special shirt or other prize. Get ready to receive it at the NCRC social in the first quarter of 2026!

Bundle Up for Saturday's Donut Run/Walk

The weather looks cold but clear Saturday for NCRC's annual January Donut Social Run/Walk at the Bottle Theory craft beer and wine shop on Green Level Road West in Apex. Bottle Theory also offers coffee, and we'll have hot chocolate for this morning event. After a group photo at 9 a.m., we'll take off for a run or walk on the nearby White Oak Greenway and American Tobacco Trail (feel free to get in a few extra miles earlier on your own or with friends). Duck Donuts, bagels, and fruit will also be available before or after your run or walk. Please bring non-perishable food items to donate to Dorcas Ministries of Cary (see link below).

Join Us for Feb. 16 Run for the Roses 5K (New Course)!
Registration is open for the 2025 Run for the Roses 5K, one of the oldest 5Ks in the Triangle! The 44th annual race, where every female finisher receives a red rose, will be held Sunday, Feb. 16, for the second year at the Walnut Creek Athletic Complex at 1200 Sunnybrook Road in Raleigh with a new, improved course (see map on event website).

NCRC's annual winter race benefits two veterans-related organizations. This family-friendly race will have two children's races, face painting, and a special rate of $20 for participants under 18 years old. Registration is also open for race volunteers. Volunteering is a great way to support runners in their races!

Snoopy's Social Run — Sunday, Feb. 23
This February social run is always a weiner! We start from the Snoopy's hot dog stand at 3600 Hillsborough Street (next to Meredith College) and, 5 miles later, end up at the Snoopy's at East Whitaker Mill Road (1931 Wake Forest Road). Registration is required. Participants can enjoy a free hot dog, fries, or drink at each location! This Sunday afternoon event is a fundraiser for the Wake County SPCA, Mr. Snoopy's favorite charity. Part of the fun is carpooling from the ending Snoopy's (you can park along Fairfield Drive) to the starting one.
